My sister came for a visit and brought a cute worn out handbag she rescued from my niece. Above Photo. I thought this would make a cute summer purse and quickly did some frog stitching. (rippit) With no objections from my sister of course. I found the coral fabric in my stash and we made a trip to Joann's for the pretty floral lining fabric. The original purse was made with a single grass cloth fabric with a plastic coating on the inside. I had a big idea to use two upholstery fabrics, although I found out quickly that my purse was a little bulky to sew with a lining fabric. I finished the sides as you can see, but then I had to revamp my idea to sew the bottom/sides on. I should finish it up in a few days and will post a photo.
