Happy 4th of July

Since I don't have a patriotic quilt I'll share some of the blocks I have finished. My New York Beauty blocks on the left, to the right a paper pieced star and two small flags.
I love the "God Bless America" fabric, you gotta love those cute angels. Too bad I didn't buy 2-3 more yards so I could use it for a border fabric.

Below are things I've been working on lately. The star block is a comfort block made for a fellow forum member's son who was burned in a fire. I was amazed there were 26 people who volunteered to make a block for this quilt. Quilter's are always such generous and kind people.

This is my first attempt at a fabric postcard. It was a fun process and I enjoyed adding the embellishments. Remember the fabric I won at the beginning of June?? I sent this Thank you card off to Terri who hosted the giveaway.

Back of postcard.

If you are interested in making postcard quilts, drop me a note. I know a website where you can print out the postcard backs. Of course I can't remember what it is right now or I would post it.

Your blocks are wonderful Kim, I really love the NYB blocks with patriotic fabrics, I don't think I've ever seen those fabrics used for them before and it's such a logical choice.

The post card is great!! I bet Terri will love it. Can you actually send them through the mail like that or do you put them in an envelope?
