Happy May Day!!! Marathon Posting day...

I took my sister to the Desert Botanical Gardens and we saw the Chiluly Glass Sculptures. The glass was exquisite and each piece was so colorful.

I just love how the glass sculptures were placed in the desert setting.

This sculpture was near the entrance after you passed through the gates. We made a reservation at 4:00PM and enjoyed the gardens until after sunset. After dark each piece was illuminated and even more stunning. I'm glad we decided to go in the late afternoon to experience the sculptures and gardens during the daylight and night.

This is my sister's floral 9 patch quilt. She worked on it while she was here visiting. (it's laid out wrong in the photo) Oops!! She corrected the layout and had the rows almost completed before she went home. Unfortunately I didn't get another photo of all the colorful 9 patches added. Maybe I can twist her arm to send one of the finished top.

This is another felted purse I made. I can't decide if I like the flower yet, maybe it needs a little bling. What do you think??

Oooo very pretty!! I love stuff like that. Here in ND the only thing you see are tin cut outs of western stuff but they are fun to see.

Those glass sculptures are awesome! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I get lots of visitors but few followers or comments so I really love to know who has been there.

God bless,
A Southern Sanctuary

p.s. Those pancakes made me hungry!
