Sew day and mini shop hop

Some of my quilting buddies and I drove the 90 minutes to Tucson
for a sew day on Saturday two weeks ago.  Where did the time go?
I'm a little slow to get the photo's uploaded.
I always look forward to spending time with
my quilting friends and see their recent projects.
Our hostess Yetta made us a yummy baked Ham and egg casserole,
cinnamon swirl cake and homemade biscotti, a favorite of mine.
Everyone brought something to munch on throughout the day,
there's never a shortage of good food when we get together.

This first beautiful quilt was made by Pat,
a graduation present for her niece who recently
graduated from Pharmacy school.

These blocks were the result of a swap I participated in also.

This is a Queen size quilt and Pat will add two more borders.

After breakfast and a little sewing, our hostess took us

on a little shop hop to the Quilted Basket.

When you walk through the door you

see these beautiful bright quilts and fabrics.

Love the Kaffe fabrics and the Winding Ways quilt.

The fabrics and quilts are nicely displayed and

you want to buy everything, well I do.

Another side of the store.

I love this adorable folded fabric bag,

it reminds me of the folded star pattern.

This cute little basket carriage is towards the

front of the store.

It's very similar to the logo on the store sign.

Of course I couldn't resist buying the bright whimsical trees,

some Kaffe florals and polka dot fat quarters.

I hope you enjoyed the

eye candy.

Have a creative day!

Lovely quilt your friend made!! Love the store, I haven't been in a quilt shop in AGES, I may have to remedy that this next week LOL.

How fun! That shop looks like it would have been so fun to visit with you. They do a very nice job of displaying their quilts and fabrics. When I visit a shop like that I always want to buy more than I need. I really like the fabrics you chose to purchase...great colors and of course, most of them are polka-dots!
