Projects

It's been quiet here for two weeks and I've been busy working and

sewing on Christmas gifts in the evenings.

This is a block I made for our Guild President for her

service over the past year.

I've been working on some table runners,

and took more photo's, but Mr. Create

loaded them onto his computer.

More photo's to come later.

A sneak peak at some quilting I've been doing.

A snowman top I've had hanging on my

studio door for a few years.

Yeah!  I finally finished the quilting

and hope to have the binding done soon.

When I was going through some bins, I discovered this cute cross

stitch I made many years ago.  I would like to frame it for

Christmas this year, but it has a stain in the upper left corner,

above the "W".   I tried to get it out with one of those Tide pens,

with no luck.  I may try peroxide next.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good spot remover?

I'm  hesitant to put it in the wash for fear the thread or ribbon

will bleed.  Thanks for any suggestions.

Have a creative day and thanks for stopping by.

Kim,

I have heard Oxyclean works.... but have never tried it. Those Christmas fabrics are absolutely yummy!

Hi Kim, your machine quilting is great. You got some of Wendy's talent. Love your table runner - Hugs Nat

Can you put little hearts over it?

So many lovely things being created...and found...at your house. The quilting looks amazing :0)

Sorry no suggestion for getting stains out of cross stitching fabrics.

Kim, have you tried Oxy Clean on that stain? I think they sell it in a spray for spot remover, or what I think might work even better is to make a paste of Oxy Clean powder and water, then apply it lightly to just the stain with a q-tip. I love all your projects, and I see you are free-motion quilting with a darning foot. Great job!

Ooops...I just read the other comments and see Ivory Spring suggested Oxy Clean already. That will teach me to read other comments before submitting one of my own. LOL

What great pictures and posts. Maybe the stain will just add character if you can't get it out. It won't take away from the beautiful work. xoxo

Wow, you have been so productive lately with all this fabulous creativity! I really love that quilting peak you gave us!

Have you tried those Chlorox wipes on that stain? We use those to get stains out of clothes and carpet. Maybe it would help.

I agree with Barb, a little heart or two would cover it nicely.

Lovely block! I want to try that pattern. Love the fabrics in your table runner. Your quilting looks really lovely! And your cross-stitching is wonderful, do try the oxyclean, or you can try Grandma's Spot Remover - I think it's available in quilt shops, and Joann's - I've not tried it but I've heard wonderful things about it. I hope it comes out, but I would frame it even if it doesn't.

Beautiful cross stitch. I've also used Oxyclean for stains.

if you can't get out the stain, you could pull out some more thread and stitch some stars or birds in the upper corner!! cover the stain!

or use a nice big frame to cover it up.
