I put the finishing touches on my gifts last week and sent them
off in the mail.
My first table runner was an experiment with simple quilted lines.

this second table runner to make it a little more festive for the
holidays. After I was all finished I thought how easy it would
have been to make a quilt as you go table runner. ( Line up
the backing fabric with batting on top and stitch the top
fabric strips down as you go with simple line stitching on each
seam) Easy peasy! I have one table runner left to finish for
me, so I may have to try it.
I'm sure most of you have seen the adorable color crayon
roll-ups if not in person, maybe on someones blog.
Well I made my little great nephew and nieces some color
crayon tote bags. This was a super easy and fun project to
work on and I think the kids will enjoy taking them in the
car and toting them around. I made mine larger than most
of the tutorials I found, so if you want the dimensions I
would be glad to provide them.
I'll be back to share my finished Snowman quilt soon.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

The table runners are beautiful. I would never have thought to add ribbon but it really adds that special little something. The crayon totes are adorable.
I really like the table runners!
What adorable totes.
Your crayon bag is an awesome idea. Your neices and nephews are sure to love them.
Very cute! I love the totes.
I wished the crayon totes were big when my guys were little..they are adorable as is your runner!
Merry Christmas to you!
You are a wonderful great aunt to make the special totes I'm sure the little ones agree! I had to giggle at your first sentence saying you can't believe it's almost Christmas, but then putting a question mark at the end. That's how I feel, not sure it's almost here! Looking forward to the Snowman quilt!
Love the idea of the crayon tote bags..They will so loved and used very often I'm sure..
Oh, those are some great table runners. The ribbon is a very nice touch. Love the fabrics.
Cute bags too.
Kim those table runners are gorgeous! I love that you added ribbon. My first ever quilt, which took me 20 years to complete, was all done by hand - cut the templates out of cardboard, and marked my sewing lines, WITH INK. I had no clue, what can I say. Well, the ink showed after I joined all my pieces, so I found a boatload of ribbon and stitched it down all the seams. It remains one of my favorite quilts. I think the ribbon just really adds wonderful texture and color. Love the crayon totes too, what a great idea!
Oooo lovely gifts!! I would be VERY interested in the crayon totes Kim!! It would be something fun for my GD :0)
