throat really hit me hard and I didn't have the energy to do much
after work. I'm finally feeling human again. Sorry for the long wait
for the Trunk Show.
Pat Knoechel was the presenter from 'Quilt in a Day' at our recent
quilt retreat. Pat is the sister of the famous Eleanor Burns.
She is a fantastic quilter in her own right and has written patterns
and been involved in the publications of Eleanor's books and
development of quilting rulers and tools since the 1980's.
Pat has also been coming to my guild for a number of years to
share the "Q & D" latest books and patterns, so I've been
fortunate to get to know her a little better. I know Pat travels around
the USA, so if you would like to have her as a presenter you could
contact her through the website here Quiltinaday. She also shows
the fast easy steps to make the quilts.
The following photo's are quilts from the latest books or patterns by
Quilt in a Day. Enjoy!
Several different color ways of this quilt.
Love the stars in the corners.
Pat shares easy techniques to put the quilt together.
She shares her method of adding the gorgeous border.
This quilt reminds me of Spring?
Pat consistently shares a quilt with a scallop border
made with the 'Quilt in a Day' ruler .
Pat pointing to a different border style the 'wave'.
The 'Q & D' ruler has two edges for making
scallop or wave borders or making vines.
More beautiful spring quilts.
The large rick rack added so much to this quilt.
Love the cornerstones in this quilt.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!
I promise to return with more of Pat's trunk show.

These were absolutely beautiful quilts and sure put one in the nood for Spring time! I too love that jumbo rick rack!
Really lovely quilts Kim- I do love lone star quilts - the color combinations do make that quilt. They look stunning on a bed.
