This is a pin cushion I made for a friend for Christmas.
I wanted to give it to her before I posted the photo,
just in case she visited my blog. I think it's okay
to share it with you now.
I found this adorable tea cup in a thrift store and
couldn't resist making it into a pincushion.
I purchased a few more teacups and plan to
make more of these cuties.
I took a little hiatus from blogging because my
sister came to visit for two weeks.
She's a quilter also and we've had a fun filled
two weeks sewing, shopping and even went
to a quilt show over the weekend.
I hope to share some photo's of what I've been

What a beautiful pin cushion. You are so creative! I am so glad you had such a good time with Darlene. We look forward to seeing her, too.
Welcome back! Glad you had such a wonderful time with your sister. The pincushion is very cute!
Welcome back! I look forward to seeing your new projects...and love this pincushion!
What an adorable pin cushion. Very creative. Glad to see you back online.
How adorable, Kim.
Looking forward to seeing your projects soon. You are SEW creative.
Hugs and blessings to you.
I also recently bought a teacup at a thrift shop with the intention of making some kind of pin cushion. Right now it's still just a teacup, but someday!
PS: Meant to add that I love your pincushion especially because of the little points that remind me of leaves of a flower!
That pincushion is the cutest idea. I love it in the cup like that.
OOO, I can't wait to see what you and your sister were up too. Glad you had a nice time together.
How springy and cute!
What a sweet, sweet pincushion! Great idea to reuse a teacup from the thrift store. Your vacation with your sister sounds heavenly! Makes me wish my sister either lived closer or came to visit more often (she lives in China). So glad you're back with such a clever post!
That's precious! Sounds like you had a great visit!
Cute pincushion! Welcome back! :0)
The pin cushion is beautiful Kim!! Do you glue the stuffing in? How fun to have a sister that quilts too, my family just wants me to make them, no interest in making them for themselves. I look forward to seeing what you are working on now :0)
Crispy
I just love the little teacup pincushion Kim. It's so adorable sitting on the shelf with my growing pincushion collection. Thank you again for making me such a happy gift. It makes me smile every time I see it.
