Grow Pink Lemonade

I've been looking at the moose quilt blocks on my design wall for
so long, it's literally been months.  I decided to either finish the
top or put it away.  So to make myself feel better, I finished the
last star block and sewed the border around this big guy.  He's
the big guy because this block is 21" square.
I have a few other projects to finish first and then I will finish this.
I will, I will, nothing like willing yourself to do something.

You can see some of the other blocks here and here.

I'm ecstatic because my Pink Lemonade - lemon tree has lemons
and two of them are the size of a nickel.  I selected this particular
lemon because of the name and it's unusual coloring.  The
outside of the lemon is primarily yellow with a striped lime
green and the inside flesh is pink like a grapefruit.  Isn't it different?
I planted it two years ago and since then it has bloomed pretty
white fragrant flowers each season, but the tiny lemons dropped off.
So you can understand my excitement.  Now lets hope they make
it through the hot summer.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

It really does feel good to finish a UFO. Sometimes I have to put them away and work on them later when I'm sure how I want to finish. That is a big moose!

This is an awesome block, especially nice that it's so large! It will be great in a finished top, will look forward to seeing that (someday ;)

I LOVE your moose. That's going to be a fabulous quilt. I imagine it carries fond memories of Alaska. I hope you make time to finish it.

I'm so happy to see you're still working on your moose quilt cuz I love it! This certainly is a big moose block - love his purple body. I'm so envious you can grow a lemon tree! I wonder how long it will take for those to get bigger. I wonder what they will taste like too.

Awesome moose and I can see why you would be exited about that lemon. Pretty cool.

Hi Kim! Your quilt blocks are all beautiful but the moose is very impressive. You really do need to finish this quilt. It's going to be fabulous!
Good luck with your pink lemonade lemons. The skins already look so pretty with their stripes.
Take care!
