As promised here is a photo of my
best friends first quilt.
(Sorry for the blurry photo's, hubby
must have moved too quickly.)
She started this quilt back in 2005 and brought
it along on her trip, so I could help her finish it.
Just look at the level of difficulty for a novice quilter.
I'm so impressed she stuck with it and completed the
lovely blocks and added the stars in the border.
She even fussy cut the centers of the stars in the border.
When all was said and done I finished quilting it with a
walking foot, then cut the binding out and stitched it on.
She was so excited to finally have it done and a little
relieved I finished it for her. I just love the pretty fabrics
she chose, it's so bright and cheerful.

And while I was working on her quilt she kept busy
sorting my quarters and filled this
Statehood Quarters Collection book she bought me as a gift.
She's such a thoughtful friend.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day.

This is really quite a project for a beginner! I hope the amount of work didn't discourage her from doing more. I'm sure she learned from your quilting and binding help. It's absolutely lovely!
