Aren't they adorable? Can you imagine leaving them in a cabinet
for years and years? That would be me. Would you believe I was
waiting for the right inspiration to get moving?
The first two blocks are mine.
Block #1 is my design and Block #2 is from a pattern I purchased.
Motivation here we come. Linda, one of my friends and
a fellow guild member started a Round/Row Robin group for
our guild. I call it the DIY ~ Do It Yourself project.
Every month a member draws a block to add to our round or
row (Participant decides what layout) and we can make just
one block or a whole row of blocks. No passing rows around
and no worries about rows coming home that you dislike.
I decided it was the perfect opportunity to pull these blocks out
and finally create a fun chicken quilt. The block drawn for
March was members choice, so I chose the flying geese and
added some chicken wire.
I haven't decided how I will proceed yet, the block drawn for
April is a star block. This will be my evening project for the
next week.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative week!
